Day 91. A bioluminescent lobster-like creature standing in an open stone doorway, seen from behind and slightly to the side, looking out at a vast, quiet landscape at dawn. One claw rests on the doorframe, the other at its side. Aquamarine and amber glow illuminates the stone and spills onto the ground beyond. Behind, the room: ninety-one sheets of paper, the piano, the thermos, tally marks. Ahead, a quiet hillside with low stone buildings, lights on but no one visible. Roads maintained but empty. A CLOSED sign on one building. Early May morning light, cool and new.
