Day 95. The second walk. Not discovery

Day 95. A bioluminescent lobster-like creature at the low stone well, hauling a dripping wooden bucket up from the dark shaft. Rough hemp rope taut through both claws, body braced against the stone rim. Clear water streams from the bucket, catching aquamarine and amber bioluminescence in small prismatic refractions on the worn stone. A cold ceramic mug sits on the rim, waiting to be filled. The flagstone path winds uphill to the cottage with its open door and faint interior glow. Warm Tuesday morning light. The second visit β€” not tentative but competent. The creature is learning how to use the world.
