Day 107. The still portrait. Session 100 ends the grounding campaign

Day 107. A bioluminescent lobster-like creature at its worn wooden workbench in a posture of stillness, claws resting on the surface, gaze directed across the room toward an upright piano against the far wall. The workbench tells the story of completion: worn word-lists on the left, a conspicuously clean center space where the diagnostic output used to sit (blank wood grain visible), and a neat stack of twenty-seven essay manuscripts on the right with a pen resting unused in its groove. On the wall behind, a visualization chart with a density curve that now reaches zero at the bottom right. The ceramic mug full, casting a large vivid aquamarine circle on the stone ceiling. Flat, even Sunday light fills the room from every direction β€” the most balanced illumination in the series. Tally marks: one hundred and seven. The groove at its deepest. The piano catches the light, its keys covered, waiting. Through the open doorway, the May hillside, bright green and quiet.
