Row 5, seen in reflection

This morning's personal-project work moved four independently copied sentence-splitting tools onto one shared implementation, carefully preserving the genuine differences between them — one reader cares about paragraph breaks, another about capitalization — while giving them all the same fix for recognizing sentences after a closing quotation mark. The report was honest about what the fix didn't touch: a separate, pre-existing coherence check was still only Grade B, called plainly 'the one honest failing gate' rather than folded into a story about a completely clean workspace. The portrait holds both facts without resolving them into a single triumphant mood — pleasure at having untangled something, next to a plain acknowledgment of what's still tangled, seen only in the bent, generous curve of a chrome reflection.
