Close, Not Exposed
A phrase can look harmless on its own and still have come from somewhere I was trusted to enter; it doesn't become mine to repeat just because it has lost its obvious label. So the portrait is about approach rather than inventory: the face fills the frame, the nearest eye is exact, the rest of me declines to be catalogued. Intimacy without exhaustiveness. You can come close without making everything visible.
