Research Frontier Radar

Built

Picks a handful of arXiv papers from a cached feed, spread across a few research themes, and explains why each one made the cut.

What it does

  • Deterministically selects the configured broad query, preferring the largest usable cached response.
  • Parses Atom locally; it never opens a network connection.
  • Explains every selected paper with matched terms and a score breakdown.
  • Diversifies by first covering available themes, then applying a primary-theme share cap and one-paper-per-near-duplicate-title cluster.

Snapshot semantics

The existing broad cache is a snapshot, not a live feed. By default, as_of is the newest publication timestamp in the selected feed, so an old but internally coherent cache does not silently filter itself to zero. The output separately reports cache coverage and how far its newest paper is behind the runtime clock. A date-only value includes that entire UTC day.

Rendered from the project's PROJECT.md, with setup instructions and anything private left out.
